Ocean Wave – 2023

Ocean Wave was carver thinking of childhoods by the sea and the power building as a wave wells before it breaks. It is based on ideas including a Mobius strip symbolising eternity and the wave form evoking memories of the welling strength of the sea and the rhythmic sound of the waves on the shore. To me it feels like a lovely safe hug.
Wood: Lime finished with Danish oil and wax.
